LVAC JUNIORS

The Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corps (LVAC) Junior Post is a dynamic program designed for young individuals aged 14 to 21 who are interested in exploring the world of emergency medical services (EMS). As part of LVAC’s commitment to education and community engagement, the Junior Post offers hands-on learning opportunities through regular EMS training sessions, ride-alongs with experienced crews, and participation in community outreach events.

Junior members wear a designated uniform—grey polo shirts with EMS pants and black boots—and proudly hold the title of “Junior.” While there is no formal leadership structure within the group, more experienced juniors often serve as informal mentors, and the program is guided by dedicated adult advisors.

Open to youth in the community through an application and interview process, the Junior Post serves as both an introduction to EMS and a stepping stone toward future certification and service in the field.
